Carla Morgan
Clinical Psychologist
BPsych (Hon), MPsych (Clinical), MACPA
Carla joined our clinic in 2023 and brings a warm, compassionate approach to supporting adults through life’s challenges. She works with people experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, low mood, self-esteem issues, perfectionism, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD.
Carla has experience helping clients with social anxiety, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), health anxiety, depression, and trauma-related difficulties. She has also worked in hospital mental health settings, supporting adults with more complex presentations such as mood disorders, personality disorders, psychosis, and substance use.
Carla uses evidence-based therapies to help clients make meaningful progress in a way that feels supportive and empowering. She is trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), both of which are effective approaches for treating PTSD and a wide range of psychological concerns. She also draws on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and motivational interviewing to tailor her approach to each individual.
Known for her calm, thoughtful, and down-to-earth style, Carla creates a safe space where clients feel truly heard and supported. She values working with people from all walks of life and finds it incredibly rewarding to help them navigate challenges and build the lives they want.
Outside of work, Carla enjoys tap dancing and ballet. She brings that same energy and joy to her work and appreciates being part of a psychology team that is kind, supportive, and focused on making a real difference in people’s lives.
