Get assessed for autism or ADHD

Autism and ADHD assessments

We offer comprehensive, neurodiverse-affirming assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. Our clinicians use gold-standard tools to explore whether an individual meets diagnostic criteria for Autism or ADHD, and to provide clarity around strengths, needs, and next steps.

  • We use a combination of tools, including interviews, observation, behavioural questionnaires, and developmental history, to explore whether someone meets diagnostic criteria for Autism or ADHD. We also assess strengths and support needs.

  • We assess children, adolescents, and adults. You don’t need a referral to access an assessment, but we’re happy to work collaboratively with your GP, paediatrician, or school.

  • Depending on age and referral needs, we may use tools such as the ADOS, ADIR, Connors Scales, or behavioural screeners, alongside clinical interviews and developmental questionnaires.

  • No, a referral is not required, but we can accept referrals from health professionals if you are seeking Medicare rebates for the consultation sessions related to the assessment.

  • Yes. Every assessment includes a comprehensive written report and a feedback session to discuss the results, diagnosis (if relevant), and recommendations for support at home, school, or in the workplace.

  • Assessment costs vary depending on the complexity of the case and tools required. Please contact us for a quote tailored to your situation.

Support your funding applications

Cognitive and intellectual assessments

Cognitive and intellectual assessments help identify a person’s learning strengths and challenges. These assessments are often used to support school planning, diagnose learning difficulties or intellectual disability, and provide documentation for funding applications such as the NDIS.

  • Cognitive assessments explore thinking skills such as memory, attention, problem-solving, and academic ability. They help identify learning difficulties, intellectual disability, or giftedness.

  • We use a range of standardised assessments, including the WISC-V (intelligence), WIAT (academic skills), WMS (memory and attention), and Vineland Adaptive Behaviour Scales (daily functioning).

  • Children and adults who are struggling at school, require learning support, or need documentation for funding (e.g. NDIS) can benefit. We also support adults seeking clarity around cognitive strengths and weaknesses.

  • Cognitive assessments involve testing sessions, scoring and interpretation, a feedback session, and a full written report with practical recommendations. We can also liaise with schools if needed.

  • Yes. Our reports are suitable for school-based planning, NDIS applications, or other educational and disability support needs.

  • Fees depend on the assessment type and length. Please contact our admin team for a personalised quote.

Mental health assessments

These assessments may be required for workplace purposes, firearms licensing or legal proceedings such as court hearings. We take a respectful, confidential and non-judgemental approach, ensuring you feel supported throughout the process.

  • A mental health assessment can usually occur over a period of three hours, your Clinician will provide further guidance if additional time is required.

  • Following your assessment, the Clinician will complete a report and you will be advised when this is complete.

  • A mental health assessment may be requested by your employer, a Solicitor or court of law, or you can self-refer.

  • A mental health assessment will cost approximately $1800. There may be some additional costs involved if additional testing is required by your Clinician, they will discuss this with you prior to your assessment.
