At Health in Mind Orange, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.
Data collection
To enquire about Health in Mind Orange services:
Data is collected via our online form and may include your name, phone number, email address and reasons for contacting the Practice.
Your personal information provided via our online forms is available to the Director and authorised members of staff and collected for the purposes of contacting you to provide psychological services. By using the form, you are consenting to the sharing of this information with Health in Mind Orange and for us to contact you in relation to your enquiry.
To register for online training:
If you are registering for access to online training, or to access to our online training videos, your information is collected for the purpose of contacting you to provide you with links to access to this training or to communicate about access to and changes to training sessions. By registering your details, you are consenting to being contact by a staff member of the Practice.
Using our online portal:
Clients must log in or register to access our online portal. Personal information including name, contact details, appointment and payment information is collected. By using our online portal, you are consenting to this information being held by the practice and used for the purposes of communicating with you about appointments, fees, invoicing and payments.
Credit Card details are held by a third-party payment platform, Stripe, and are not visible to staff.
User rights
Access to data collected:
All personal data collected is held in our secure Practice Management software, Zanda. Personal information collected is not shared with any third-party, or used, sold, rented or disclosed for any purpose without your expressed consent or where there is a legal requirement for information to be disclosed.
You have a right to request to see and correct any personal information held about you by the Practice. You can also withdraw your consent to hold your information at any time. Requests for information or changes can be sent to the Practice Manager at practicemanager@himorange.com.au
Legal and ethical compliance
Health in Mind Orange complies with the relevant Australian privacy laws (Privacy Act 1988) and ethical guidelines for Psychologists. Data may be disclosed in response to legal requests or court subpoenas.
Updates to the privacy policy
The privacy policy may be reviewed and updated periodically; users will be notified via email or the website of any changes.
Complaints
Clients have a right to complain about the handling of their personal information.
Complaints can be made to Health in Mind Orange by email (practicemanager@himorange.com.au). We will endeavour to respond appropriately to reasonable complaints within 30 days of the receipt of the email.
Ultimately, if clients wish to lodge a formal complaint about the use of, disclosure of, or access to, your personal information, you may do so with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, by phone on 1300 363 992, online at Privacy Complaint or by post to: Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, GPO Box 5218, Sydney, NSW 2001.
